Not even the fame of Lichfield steeplechaser Spencer Duval has managed to knock Dr Samuel Johnson from his spot as the city’s most famous son.
But is the great man’s legacy in danger of being forgotten? With his 300th birthday approaching (I’ll buy the cake, you buy the candles!), Staffordshire University student Chris Heath went out to find out more about the great man.
